Seminar 21/05 – François Gaits – Freehand ultrasound imaging: efficient simulation and neural implicit representation-based volume reconstruction

For the next STORM seminar, François Gaits will be giving a presentation titled: Freehand ultrasound imaging: efficient simulation and neural implicit representation-based volume reconstruction

Abstract:

This talk will consist in two parts. First, an efficient algorithm based on a stratified 3D scatterer sampling strategy will be introduced, allowing real time 2D ultrasound image simulation from 3D volumes, while freely moving the simulated probe. The second part will focus on an unsupervised deep learning network for reconstructing 3D ultrasound volumes from 2D freehand slices acquired (or simulated) while scanning the medium.

This seminar will take place on Tuesday 21/05 at 1:45pm (13:45) in room Salle des Thèses at IRIT.
