Seminar 07/05 – Vassili Pustovalov – Enhanced Microbubble Localization in Ultrafast Ultrasound Imaging

For the next STORM seminar, Vassili Pustovalov will be giving a presentation titled: Enhanced Microbubble Localization in Ultrafast Ultrasound Imaging

Abstract:

Recent advances in ultra-fast ultrasound imaging are enabling new in vivo imaging techniques. In particular, ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM) greatly enhances contrast and resolution in vascular imaging. In ULM, microbubbles are injected into the bloodstream and localized to reconstruct the microvasculature in a matter of minutes. This presentation initially outlines the principles and related challenges within the ULM pipeline. Subsequently, we propose two distinct methodologies: one employing deep learning and another based on a model-based iterative approach, aimed at mitigating specific limitations of ULM.

This seminar will take place on Tuesday 07/05 at 1:45pm (13:45) in room Salle des Thèses at IRIT.
