For the next STORM seminar, Loïc Barthe will give a presentation titled : From isotropic blending to real-time skinning

Abstract
Starting from the main limitations of field function blending that lead to their disinterest in geometric modeling in the early 2000’s, we will see how a deeper analysis of the geometrical interpretation of their composition/assembly operators allows us to solve all these limitations. We will then see how this functional representation can be conjointly used with meshes to improve their deformation in skinning applications.
