In 2021, Fabspace continues !

/ February 1, 2021

The Toulouse FabSpace 2.0 project started on 1 March 2016. Under the direction of Professor Josiane Mothe and supported by the University Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier (UPS), it reached the end of its financing by the European Union at the end of 2019.

However, the Toulouse Fabspace continues to live ! It remains closely linked to the European Fabspaces network, which promotes innovation based on the use of satellite data and geo-information. Toulouse Fabspace will also participate, as in previous years, in the nuit de l’info 2021.

Last but not least, the “Fabspace spirit” continues with the recent launch of InnEO’Space_PhD. This new European project, led by the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès, is managed by the team behind Fabspace ( a collaboration between the University of Toulouse and AéroSpace Valley.) InnEO’Space_PhD aims to develop the spirit of innovation among PhD students and young researchers, whatever their discipline, through the creation of a project based on Earth observation. Spread over three years, the intention of InnEO’Space_PhD is to familiarise students with the circuits of innovation and enable them to build an innovative project from their initial idea. A first InnEO Startech will be organised from 12 to 16 April 2021 in Toulouse. Like the Fabspace, InnEO’Space_PhD wants to display academic excellence in any field related to Earth observation.
