The International Airport of Toulouse-Blagnac is around 50km from Samatan.

  -> [Tramway] Airport to Hippodrome : 17 minutes. Tramways are relatively frequent any time of the day.

  -> [Bus] Hippodrome to Samatan Les lacs: 61 minutes. Bus to Samatan, line 365, Station Samatan Les lacs (ask for the stop). At Hippodrome station, there are six buses during the day at: 8h26, 9h26, 12h53, 14h36, 17h34, 18h03 and 18h56.

Please note that you will need cash in order to buy a ticket in the bus (no credit cards accepted). Also tramway and bus stations have the same name (both are called Hippodrome) but they are 3 minutes walk away. You have to signal the bus to stop, otherwise it will not stop even if there are people waiting. Buses are either white or red. Bus can be slightly in advance. More information here. The final destination of the 365 bus is either Lombez or Boulogne-sur-Gesse (both stop at Samatan).

Toulouse Public transports

Public transports in Toulouse are managed by Tisseo. These include trams, buses and metro that criss-cross the city.  If you want to use public transportation, you can buy a ticket at a dedicated Tisseo machines, which are located on each metro station and big bus stops, Tisseo agency or on the board of the transport (be careful: this is not applicable for trams). You can plan your trip around Toulouse with help of Tisseo website or Tisseo application, which is available in Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Airport – city center connexion

  • Airport shuttle: From 05h00 to 00h15. leaving every 20 minutes. Approximately 20 minutes to the city center. 4 different stops. Price: approx. €10. More info.
  • By bus: Line 66 (Toulouse St Cyprien – Toulouse Blagnac Airport), then subway (line A). Price: approx. €1.60. More info. Do not buy a week pass (or any other pass) when arriving in Toulouse, a free transport pass (offered by the city) will be given to you the first day of the conference.
  • By taxi: Approx. cost airport-city centre: approx. €20.
  • By Train: The Toulouse Matabiau station is located downtown and has its subway station (line A).
