Very proud to be awarded CHI 2020 Best Paper & Honorable Mention with my co-authors!

In the paper titled “Robots for Inclusive Play: Co-designing an Educational Game With Visually Impaired and sighted Children,” (CHI’20 Best Paper), we aim to make school education more inclusive for visually impaired children. In this paper, we presented the design and evaluation of a robot-based educational game that allows both visually impaired children and sighted children to play and learn together in mainstream schools.

In the paper “Review of Quantitative Empirical Evaluations of Technology for People with Visual Impairments,” (CHI’20 Honorable Mention), we address the challenges faced by HCI researchers when designing quantitative empirical evaluation for people with visual impairments. The paper presents an analysis of past research, a unified terminology, and a set of guidelines to address identified open issues, to help future research on this topic.
