Post-doc on Human Augmentation
New technologies such as mixed reality, natural or wearable interfaces, or Artificial Intelligence are beginning to take hold in production facilities. They promise performance gains but can also improve safety and comfort in interactions between human operators and semi-autonomous systems. For these technologies to be accepted and deployed, human functioning must be considered.
In this project, the postdoc will explore the topics of cognitive load, multimodal representation of information, as well as the design and evaluation of multisensory interfaces designed to control intelligent and autonomous agents. Urban Air mobility is one possible context. In this context, the project will be to define the characteristics of a multimodal mixed reality interface for the control of semi-autonomous drones.
Applicants must minimally have a PhD in Cognitive Science, Computing, Engineering or a related discipline, research experience in human-computer interaction, a strong publication track record.
