As part of Tr@nsnet’s Activity 2.3, we have acquired an “augmented biodiversity” planted filter that will serve as a research demonstrator for our future Living Lab. The company Epurtek started the work at the end of June, and it was finished in mid-July. This first phase allowed us to connect the wastewater network of a teaching building and the offices of the UT3 campus to the planted filter. Its operation will start after the second phase, which has not yet been completed. This phase involves the installation of scanners, sensors, the addition of biodiversity and the planting of reed beds. Once this work is done, the filter will be able to function and filter the wastewater from this building.
