ESSLLI 2017 is organized by the Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse (IRIT) with the support of the Laboratoire "Cognition, Langues, Langage, Ergonomie" (CLLE), and will be hosted by Toulouse Capitole University.

The European Summer School in Logic, Language and Information (ESSLLI) is an event organized every year in a different European country under the auspices of the Association for Logic, Language and Information (FoLLI). It brings together logicians, linguists, computer scientists, and philosophers to study logic, language, information and their interconnections. ESSLLI attracts about 400 participants from all over the world, both senior and junior and is a great place to learn and network—and have a lot of fun in the process.

ESSLLI 2017 features 44 courses at foundational, introductory, and advanced levels, as well as 4 workshops, 4 invited lectures, and a student session to foster interdisciplinary discussion of current research. Courses and workshops are one week long and cover a wide variety of topics within the combined areas of interest: Language and Logic, Language and Computation, and Logic and Computation.

Previous ESSLLIs have been held in Bolzano (2016), Barcelona (2015), Tübingen (2014), Düsseldorf (2013) and Opole (2012).
