Student housing in University Residences
The CROUS in Toulouse offers to all, students or not, well-equipped single rooms in two locations: Arsenal Residence and Chapou Residence.Arsenal
The Arsenal Residence is on the same campus as the ESSLLI venue, in a building at the back of the University.Rooms (9m²) are equipped with shower and WC, sheets and towels. Collective kitchens are available on each floor. Rooms have been recently renovated.
To reach the venue from the Arsenal Residence: 200 meters walk. You may have to circumvent the campus to get to the main entrance in Rue des Puits creusés.
Chapou
The Chapou Residence is located in a quiet neighborhood near the Garonne river with greenery and nice paths for running. There is a public swimming pool just next door. If you like sports, this is the place to be.Rooms (10m²) are equipped with shower and WC, kitchenette, sheets and towels. Rooms have been recently renovated.
To reach the venue from the Chapou Residence: take bus Lineo 1 (L1) from "Ponts Jumeaux" stop (right next to the CROUS building) and get off at "Compans-Caffarelli" (5 minutes). From here it is a 6 minutes walk to the Arsenal campus. Walking the whole way takes about 25 min.
Internet access, kitchen equipment
In both residences, internet is provided free of charge, but only as ethernet connection. There is an RJ45 plug in each room. No wifi!! Bring your own ethernet cord.Collective kitchens and private kitchenettes are equipped with basic cooking infrastructure and fridges, but there is no cookware or tableware. We will try to gather a minimum of second-hand kitchen equipment to lend, but cannot guarantee anything. If you want to cook your own food, please bring your own equipment or be prepared to buy some.
Prices and booking
Prices are for 1 week (6 or 7 nights won't make any difference in price). Arrival on Sunday, departure on either Saturday or Sunday.| Student | Non-Student | |

Availability is limited. No booking can be done after June 1st. Rooms in both Residences will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Please indicate if you do not want to be booked in a different Residence than selected in case your choice is fully-booked.
Booking is done using the ESSLLI 2017 registration form, by June 1st (availability permitting). Even if you are already registered, you can access the registration form again to book a room. The full stay is paid in advance.
Lecturers' hotel: Adagio Saint-Cyprien
The Aparthotel Adagio Saint-Cyprien is situated rive gauche in the lively Saint-Cyprien neighborhood. Nearby are the beautiful marketplace and (former) public baths and many small restaurants.We have pre-booked studios accommodating one to two people (twin and double options). Fully-equipped kitchenette, TV, free wifi, air-conditioning.
Lecturers and all participants who wish to stay at the Adagio are invited to get in touch with the hotel (Email: h8399@adagio-city.com or Tel: +33 5 345 096 00) to book their studio. Make sure to mention "INP-ESSLLI" to obtain the special rate. Availability is limited.
Negotiated rate for studios: 42€ per day + 8,40€ per breakfast + visitor's tax (1,20€ in 2016). Extra person only needs to pay for visitor's tax and breakfast. Cleaning and linen change twice a week (one extra than usual).
Note: there are also some larger apartments accommodating up to four people (one bedroom, one living-room with sofa-bed). Price for the apartment: 84€ per day (plus visitor's tax and breakfast).
Cancellation policy: no charge up to noon (local time) of the day prior to arrival date.
Arrival after 3:00 pm, departure before 11:00 am. Bagage-room available all day.
Reception open 24h, except for Sundays: closed at lunch break 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
To reach the venue from the Adagio: take metro A at "St Cyprien-République", direction "Balma-Gramont", and get off at "Capitole" (2 stops). From here it is a 10 minutes walk to the Arsenal campus. You can also walk the whole way taking the Saint Pierre bridge (about 20 min).
