·       Professor at the University of Toulouse, INSPE (formerly ESPE and IUFM Midi-Pyrénées) since 2002. In charge of the "Economics and Management course: IT and Information Systems" and "Documentation" of the Master’s Degree in Teaching, Education and Training – Toulouse Academy.

·       In charge of several training courses related to Big Data within CNRS Formation Entreprises : NoSQL storage system (Not only SQL), Toulouse, 17-19/06/2020.

·       Member of the CLEF steering committee since September 2015. Organizer of the ImageCLEFremote task as part of the CLEF 2017 conference.

·       Member of the IRIT SIG team since 1992. Data mining and automatic learning for information retrieval, exploitation and visualization are themes at the heart of my research and at the heart of Big Data's issues.

·       Head of the IRIT SIG team from September 2012 to the end of 2015.

·       Editor of the ACM SIGIR Forum since January 2020 .

·       Editor in chief of Springer's Information Retrieval magazine for Europe and Africa from 2004 to December 2014. Member of the review committee since 2015.

·       Since 2002: member of the ARIA foresight committee.

InnEO’Space_PhD project aims at preparing post-graduate candidates and early stage researchers for a successful career through modernised and transferable PhD courses based on innovation skills and employers’ needs. To achieve this, the project will enhance and develop researchers’ innovation-oriented mind-sets and skills through Earth Observation, that offers a multidisciplinary approach and numerous applications in various sectors (environment, climate change, crisis management…).

With a budget of €3.5 million, it involves 15 partners from 6 European countries. Paul Sabatier University is in charge of project management, started on March 1, 2016 for a period of 3 years.

·       Organization of the seminar "A Test Collection for Research on Depression and Language Use" on 7 November 2016 on evaluation collections from social networks, involving Fabio Crestani, (Faculty of Informatics, University of Lugano, Switzerland).
