Accomodation is offered at a competitive price (135-270 EUR for students and 160-320 EUR for others) in a student residence near the city centre. 

[Update - 16/05] Arsenal Residence is now fully booked! Please book your room at the Chapou Residence.

We are pleased to announce that it is now possible to register to ESSLLI 2017.

The registration fee for ESSLLI 2017 varies according to which category the applicant belongs to (student, academic or non-academic), as well as whether the applicant registers within the Early Bird deadline (see below).

Registration fees include all courses and workshops, as well as the Student Session (Stus). It is not possible to register for a single week, to a single workshop, or to Stus only.

Important dates:

Deadline for Early Bird registration: April 27, 2017
Deadline for Regular registration: June 29, 2017

The 22nd Conference on Formal Grammar will be held from July 22nd to July 23rd, 2017, in conjunction with the 29th European Summer School in Logic, Language and Information in Toulouse, France.

Important dates:

Deadline for paper submission: March 14, 2017
Notification of acceptance: April 24, 2017
Camera ready copies due: May 15, 2017

Application for Student Grants now open

ESSLLI 2017 will offer a limited number of grants to highly motivated and talented MSc or PhD students.

The student grants consist of:

  • participation fee waivers,
  • student accommodation grants (including participation fee waiver),
  • student accommodation and travel grants (including participation fee waiver).

Application deadline: March 10, 2017 
Notification: May 2, 2017 

[Update 28/02/2017] A number of additional grants sponsored by Companies and Associations is now available:

  • ASL offers travel funds to students (application deadline: April 17, 2017),
  • ATALA offers 4 fee waivers to ATALA student members.

Courses are divided into three main tracks (Language and Logic, Logic and Computation, Language and Computation) and three levels (Foundational, Introductory, Advanced), for a total of more than 40 different courses offered over the two weeks.

The first week will be from the 17th to the 21st of July, while the second will be from the 24th to the 28th of July. Lectures will start every day at 9 am and they will end at 6:30 pm.

The 22nd Formal Grammar Conference will take place on the 22nd and the 23rd of July, in conjunction with ESSLLI 2017.
