CALL FOR DEMONSTRATIONS

The development of argumentation systems has become an increasingly important and exciting research topic in artificial intelligence, with research activities ranging from developing theoretical models, prototype implementations, and application studies. As a result of this interest in argumentation systems, the International Conference on Computational Models of Argument (COMMA) was started with the intention of being a regular forum in which research related to computational aspects of argumentation will be presented. 
After the successful COMMA'06 meeting, the second meeting in the series will be held in Toulouse in May 2008. Topics of interest include:

* Formalisms for argumentation 
* Argumentation in agent systems
* Dialogue based on argument
* Computational properties of argumentation
* Implementation of argumentation systems
* Decision making based on argumentation
* Reasoning about action with argument
* Argument-based negotiation
* Applications (e.g. e-democracy, current affairs, law and medicine)
* Systems for learning through argument
* Tools for supporting argumentation

Software demonstrations are now invited for the COMMA'08 meeting. We are particularly keen to see:

* Systems for generating arguments from knowledge bases
* Systems for editing, presenting and judging constellations of arguments and counterarguments
* Simulations of dialogue-based argumentation
* Examples of applications of argumentation technology
