The University ITMO is the multiple award-winning university of St Petersburg (ACM ICPC World Champions in 2004, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017). Instructors of WCPS2017 won the world championship held the 24/05/2017 in Rapid City, South Dakota, U.S.
This course is intended for students and programmers who wish to improve their programming/algorithmic skills, and more specifically for those who wish to train for advanced programming competitions (such as ACM ICPC Contests). To take benefit from this crash-course, the main prerequisite is that each participant/team is fluent with at least one of the following languages : C/C++/Java. Knowledge about some classical algorithms is also recommended.
The course will be in english, it will alternate lab training sessions with problem analysis lectures (see the preliminary schedule). During lab sessions, the work on computers will be organised with teams of 1, 2 or 3 persons.

The instructors come from ITMO university at St.Petersburg, Russia. This year instructors will be annonced ASAP, but usually they are former members and current coaches of the ITMO team.
