For the next STORM seminar, Hugo Rens will give a presentation titled : Path interpolation : Updates, and what will come next.

Abstract
During this seminar, I will give a feedback of what I’ve been doing recently on the topic of light path interpolation using GPLVM, in the context of offline rendering. We will review the main questions arising from my observations as well as their possible answers. This will principally involve caustics and clustering (distances in the path space, more specifically). Then we may explicit the criticisms and blocking limitations (as well as the good points!) to discuss ideas that seem good and those likely to be leading to a dead end. (spoiler alert: some curious images will be involved)
