PAPER SUBMISSION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

The authors are encouraged to submit full papers describing original, previously unpublished, complete research, not currently under review by another conference or journal, addressing state-of-the-art, research and development in all areas of interest of PWC 2008. Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings published by Springer in the IFIP series.

Papers must be submitted electronically. Manuscripts should be submitted by April 10, 2008 to the EDAS paper submission website: EDAS paper submission page

PWC 2008 supports electronic submission only. PDF and Word formats are accepted. However, PDF format is preferred. The cover page must contain an abstract of about 150 words, name and affiliation of author(s) as well as the corresponding author´s e-mail and postal address. Problems related with paper submission should be reported to pwc2008@irit.fr

The maximum size of FINAL paper is 12 pages (however, we do allow up to four extra pages at a cost of 100€ per extra page) according to Springer format (see Guidelines for manuscript preparation: http://springer.com/series/6102). Authors are REQUIRED to attend the conference and present their paper.

BEST PAPER AWARD AND TRAVEL GRANTS

A best paper award (500 EUR) and two travel grants (750 EUR each) will be awarded to PWC 2008 conference participants. If you are a student or young researcher from an IFIP member country you can apply for travel and accommodation funding to make it possible to attend the conference. The committee will review your applications and will award the grants to the students who would not otherwise have the resources to attend a conference. To apply for travel grant, send a letter to the Conference General Chair explaining how you believe attending the conference will benefit you. The letter should quote the lowest available airfare from your location to the conference site, and the bank account details of your institution for reimbursement. The application should also include a letter from your graduate advisor describing your work and the benefit to that work of attending the conference.

A maximum of 10 best papers will be selected from accepted and presented papers for publication in a special issue of International Journal of Business Data Communications and Networking www.igi-global.com/ijbdcn
