A successful 2020 Startech programme

/ February 1, 2021

The third edition of the Startech programme, which took place in Toulouse from September to November 2020, aroused the same enthusiasm as in previous years. Based on an innovative pedagogy, the objective was, this year again, to offer to master’s students in science and applied sciences the opportunity to discover the fundamentals of entrepreneurship through practical experience.

From 10 September to 12 November 2020, four teams worked on the development of a geodata application. Thay had weekly coaching sessions based on the “business model canvas”. Following two months of intensive work, these teams of students supported their project before a jury composed of Josiane Mothe, professor at INSPE-UT2 and head of the Fabspace project, Geoffroy Labrouche, senior lecturer in Management Sciences at Toulouse Jean-Jaurès University, Philippe Jean-Amans, senior lecturer in Management Sciences at Toulouse Jean-Jaurès University, and Frédéric Rodriguez, president and founder of the company GreenFlex.

The projects were the following :

Reseacle – project to recycle plastic from the oceans (team of 5 participants)

Pol’air City – project to reduce air pollution (team of 5 participants)

Iliakos – project to promote energy transition (team of 3 participants)

Easypath – project to improve road traffic (3 participants)

The 2020 edition validated the concept as well as the interest of the participants in the coaching process offered at Startech.
