Partners

IRIT (Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse) is is a laboratory covering most areas of computing. The partner LILaC team is one of the 3 teams constituting the Artificial Intelligence department, recognized worldwide for its work in symbolic AI. This partner includes the coordinator (Dominique LONGIN, IRIT, Université de Toulouse, CNRS, INP, UT3) and will include other researchers with strong skills and competencies in different areas of AI including logic, belief revision, planning, artificial agents. They will turn out to be particularly useful in the context of WP1 and WP2 in which knowledge will be extracted from neural networks, and the link between this knowledge and the reasoning and updating module of the artificial agent: Andreas HERZIG and Emiliano LORINI ( IRIT, Université de Toulouse, CNRS, INP, UT3).

CerCo (Centre de recherche Cerveau et Cognition) focuses on the study of different sensory modalities and their integration, cognitive functions such as memory, object recognition but also consciousness and mental states. It calls upon a wide range of methodological approaches relating to anatomy, physiology, integrative and cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology and computational and theoretical neuroscience. This partner will include Simon THORPE (CerCo, Université de Toulouse, CNRS, UT3), well known for his competences on neurosciences and spiking networks.
