  • People indexing in audiovisual content

    This thesis consists in studying the complementarity of information of the video and audio streams which is one of the main issues addressed by the SAMOVA research group of the IRIT Lab. The chosen application is the audiovisual speaker detection and tracking, by exploring the physical (face, body, costume...) and the voice appearances, and by trying to correlate those two components in a robust and collaborative manner. This method must be as much as possible independent from a priori knowledge about speaker.
