Accommodation

Accommodation in Prague can range from high standard such as Diplomat hotel (about 100 €/night) to cheaper but still comfortable ones such as Krystal hotel (about 30€/night). Hereafter we suggest some accomodation next to the conference centre.

HOTEL PRAHA (Address: Susicka 20, Praha 6, 166 35)
Five star hotel was originally designed as a facility for the needs of government. All the rooms are exceptionally spacious and hotel building is surrounded by a large park. All rooms at Hotel Praha command a stunning panoramic view of the city, all are air conditioned, each room leads out onto a private bush-framed terrace. The list of hotels facilities starts with the round-shaped swimming pool, the two saunas, Relax Centre include fitness with modern equipment, steam bath, solarium and massages. There are also an outdoor tennis and volleyball courts situated right in the hotel park as well. Hotel is 15 min. walk to Congress and 5 min. by tram to metro Dejvicka.

HOTEL DIPLOMAT (Address: Evropska 15, Prague 6, 160 00)
 Four stars hotel located in the Congress Area at Metro Dejvicka. 6 min. by metro to city centre. 7 min. walk to Congress. Modern facilities, luxurious rooms and business studios. It is one of the most modern business hotels in Prague. The extensive choice of restaurants offers a wide range of Czech and international cuisine. There is an indoor leisure complex and services at the level of a four star hotel.

HOTEL PYRAMIDA (Address: Belohorska 24, Prague 6, 169 01)
Three stars hotel, 10 min by bus to Metro Dejvicka, 15 min by tram to City Centre. This large, modern hotel situated 10 minutes walk from Prague Castle and historical parts of Prague is an ideal setting for holiday visitors. Three stars hotel, silent locality in Prague 6. 3 min. by bus and 6 min. walk to Congress, 11 min. by bus and 6 min by Metro to City centre.

HOTEL KRYSTAL (Address: Jose Martiho 2/407, Prague 6, 160 00)
Two stars hotel facility of Prague universities, 11 min. by tram to Congress and to Metro Dejvicka. Convenient location on route from the airport.

Transportation
From the Airport Praha-Ruzyně you may take a taxi. Recommended is the van service of the company CEDAS which will take you to any hotel or to the hostel. The vans park
in front of the arrival building and you may recognise them by the signs CEDAS and AIRPORT-CENTRUM.

. Travelling time 15 min.

From the railway station

Praha-hlavní nádraží (Main Station) or Station Praha-Holešovice, you may take a taxi. Travelling time 30 min. Recommendable is to negotiate the price in advance (about 1
5 €).

Taxi service inside Prague.
The taxi service in the city of the Prague do not have price limit and you should be careful before hiring a taxi and should ask about the price beforehand. Reliable taxi service is AAA (English speaking operators). AAA taxis can be summoned at tel. nos. 33113311 or 14014. Will usually come in 10 min at no extra charge. Service at hotel/hostel reception will summon taxi.

Buses of the public transportation:

The participants with cars may park at parking lots near the hotels and the hostel.

Public transport system: 3 Underground Metro lines A, B and C, trams and busses. 
Tickets can be bought in advance in slot-machines, kiosks and selected shops. Available also in the Congress Office. Validation of tickets is necessary at entrance into Metro or in tram or bus. Optimal ticket valid for 1 hr in whole system, price 0,40 €. Single line or 4 Metro stations for 15 min, price 0,25 €. To City centre from Metro station Dejvická takes about 6 min.

Visa
No visa is required from citizens of most European countries. An entry visa to the Czech Republic is necessary for citizens of the following countries: Albania, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Colombia, Cuba, Egypt, Georgia, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Libya, Macedonia, Nicaragua, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia&Montenegro, South Africa, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Yugoslavia. Please consult the Czech Embassy or authorities in your country if in doubt.
Currency : thought EURO (€) might be accepted in some places all over Prague, the main currency is Czech Crown (CZK). Current exchange rates (source: Czech National Bank, central bank exchange rate fixing):
