Conference Overview

ATACCS is scientific conference organized on the theme of Automation in Command and Control Systems. ATACCS is brainchild of HALA! Research Network (Higher Automation Levels in ATM) which is supported by the framework of SESAR WP-E; a framework setup to spearhead long term and innovative research in automation of ATM in pursuit of the SESAR 2020 vision and beyond.

ATACCS 2011 is now over ending up in a huge success. It gathered 115 participants from all over the world interested in automation and ATM.

ATACCS 2012 will take place in London end of May 2012. More detailed information about the next conference will be posted here very soon. Deadline for submission of full papers will be around the end of 2011 - early 2012.

Awards have been given to the best paper presentation and the best doctoral consortium presentation. The awardees are respectively:

  • Best paper presentation awards: Cristina Barrado, An Architecture to Automate UAS Operations in Non-segregated Airspace, Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya
  • Best Doctoral Consortium's paper presentation awards: Sabine Wilke, The potential of automation for reducing airport surface safety occurrences. Imperial College, UK.
