SCOPE:
- Open for early stage researchers from academics and industry from COST member countries
- Address the energy efficiency in the design, modelling and operations of large scale distributed systems
- From hardware / software level, to the functional level, to the operations and adaptation;
- The wider economic and societal adoption of the proposed measures, in a wide diversity of networks with associated facilities.
- The educational process will highlight the main approaches, the state of the art in research and industry, and the performance/ QoS / cost trade-offs.
COURSES STRUCTURE :
- Backgrounders on Green ITC technologies
- Environmental regulations, and emissions profiles from devices and activities.
- Approaches and processes to reduce energy consumption and emissions from information, computing and telecommunications systems and applications at design and usage levels
Specialized courses: component level, middleware level, model based systems, management level, mathematical modelling for energy consumption derivation, test and measurement.
Trade-off and selection methodologies including business and user behaviours

- Justified requested grant
- Short resume (max 20 lines)
- Short description of on-going research or relevance of the envisaged Training school to you and your host institution; specification of training topics asked for (10 lines).
