Our laboratory is purchasing a material platform to develop virtual reality and interaction research and more generally, information and communication sciences and technics research. Interacting is a major topic of the laboratory and an essential axis for industrial and social development of informatics. Our present research covers main topics about interacting sensory and conceptual modalities: image analysis, computer vision, image sysnthesis, distributed virtual reality, automatic language identification, design of interactive systems, oral dialog modeling, dialog and speech processing, modeling of textual information retrieval, multimedia environments and handicapped persons helping systems.
topAims
This platform subserves the development of many projects : deeply involved in FERIA topics (Fédération de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique du CNRS) as Distributed Cooperative Simulation and Man System Interaction; it allows studying, prototyping and valuating inner works, as well as regional or national research projects(creation of MIDI laboratory, IRIT/EADS-Centre Commun de Recherches pool laboratory 2003, RNTL Lumiere project 2004-2006).
