The Institut de Mathématique de Toulouse (IMT) [ Institute of Mathematics of Toulouse ] and the Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse (IRIT) [Institute of Computer Sciences of Toulouse] have since years a continuous and profitable interaction in various scientific disciplines. They intensify and structure their action through the Projet pluri-formations [Pluri-training Project] FREMIT. Both institutes are conscious of their complementarity and the potential scientific repercussions which one can await from such cooperation.
The resources of FREMIT are intended to stimulate scientific collaboration between the teams of the two institutes and to organize meetings of which the goal is to support the interactions and to explore new ways of collaboration.
The two institutes have now a common doctoral school and a reflection is carried out to work out a stronger cooperation in terms of organization, research, and training.
